The Kings started the first period of Monday night’s matchup against the Leafs strong. It only took them 37 seconds to score the first goal of the game against Toronto.
Defenseman Drew Doughty setup Anze Kopitar. Kopitar released a quick shot to the top of the net hitting the goalie camera. On the ice there was confusion as to whether the puck had gone in and play continued. Upon review it was ruled a good goal.
Anze Kopitar scores the enjoyable goal-that-isn't-counted and then they play a bunch more before they check back and yes, goal

Kopitar was hit in the face by the puck off a shot by Dion Phaneuf in the third. He returned to the ice and finished the period.
The Kings went on to beat the Leafs 2–0. Marian Gaborik scored an empty netter at the end of the third. Kopitar and Jeff Carter earned assists.
